If Aquilino Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciénega's Blas Orixe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Lapurdi. That made the score 3-2 after 43 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aquilino Mannie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Aquilino Mannie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelo Lapurdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Orixe, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute.
