With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Garci in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julian Frans saved RIVER PLATE from getting behind. RIVER PLATE's Julian Frans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Garci in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Plátanos getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Angelino Aurre hit a great ball. Cornelio Inautzi came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER PLATE's Cosme Fresco. But to his dismay, Cosme Fresco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Plátanos getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Elias Hustaz hit a great ball. After some careless play in the RIVER PLATE defense, Amador Lazcano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Frans. The RIVER PLATE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Frans should have stopped the shot. With his leg Cornelio Inautzi managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when RIVER PLATE's Cosme Fresco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Silvio Charro kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Cosme Fresco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Cornelio Inautzi made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Angelino Aurre put in a rough tackle. 39 minutes into the match, Dudu dos Santos sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Cornelio Inautzi threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Dudu dos Santos this time. After 40 minutes of play, RIVER PLATE's Cosme Fresco made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Inautzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Plátanos's Cornelio Inautzi got control of the ball when Cosme Fresco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Plátanos's Ciro Lano got a free kick in the 46th minute. RIVER PLATE's Dudu dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvestre Rivas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 52 in the game by Pedro Garci from a close distance when the talented Julian Frans managed to make a qualified save. RIVER PLATE's players were relieved. Silvio Charro scored 3-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Inautzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Hustaz's late challenge caught a RIVER PLATE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Hustaz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Elias Hustaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes, RIVER PLATE's Dudu dos Santos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cornelio Inautzi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RIVER PLATE reached it. After having played for 62 minutes, Silvio Charro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER PLATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Charro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute of the game Dudu dos Santos made a throw-in which Cosme Fresco played forward. In the 72nd minute, Pedro Garci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Plátanos booed when RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannich Falgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venancio Tadzio made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Plátanos's Elias Hustaz. 94 minutes into the game, Dudu dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIVER PLATE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plátanos the free kick. Dudu dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Fresco in the 97th minute of play forced Plátanos's goalkeeper Cornelio Inautzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
