After 12 minutes, Jorge Rico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fruly Futbol Team and the RIVER PLATE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fruly Futbol Team's Jacinto Mateus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Fruly Futbol Team from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE's Gheorge Stoica got a free kick in the 15th minute. Cornelio Daunte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Frans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Primeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Fermin Benvido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julian Frans. RIVER PLATE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Benvido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 29th minute of the game Arnaldo Salomone made a throw-in which Cosme Fresco played forward. 31 minutes into the game, Silvio Charro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jacinto Mateus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julian Frans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Daunte, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute, Cosme Fresco made a precise shot to the right of Jacinto Mateus. Fruly Futbol Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Rivas was the one to do the kick off. Jannich Falgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jacinto Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Fruly Futbol Team's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Rivas came free, but Jacinto Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 played minutes, RIVER PLATE's Dudu dos Santos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacinto Mateus came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RIVER PLATE reached it. Gabriel Primeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Frans having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Fruly Futbol Team's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Rivas came free, but Jacinto Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Rico kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75thth minute of the game Cornelio Daunte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RIVER PLATE's Julian Frans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornelio Daunte got free with Julian Frans in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Fruly Futbol Team's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Rivas came free, but Jacinto Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Maximino Matai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, RIVER PLATE's Dudu dos Santos tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Fruly Futbol Team booed when RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannich Falgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Primeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Frans having to interfere. In the 89th minute of the match Gustavo Formerio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julian Frans skillfully saved the ball. After 89 played minutes RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Jannich Falgren. Julian Frans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Daunte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fruly Futbol Team players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for RIVER PLATE.
