Cristobal Bingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Chumo having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Los Caballeros de Eva's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Bernaldo came free, but Geronimo Chumo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Gonzalo Aritza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Caballeros de Eva's Geronimo Chumo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Los Caballeros de Eva from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Cipriano Eztebe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geronimo Chumo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After 69 minutes Los Caballeros de Eva's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elias Paez who took care of the corner kick. Fortuna's Elias Paez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Geronimo Chumo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 74 minutes into the match, Cristobal Bingen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geronimo Chumo. Geronimo Chumo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Eztebe in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Rigoberto Bernaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortuna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Bernaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geronimo Chumo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Bingen in the 97th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Caballeros de Eva players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fortuna.
