Horcones's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anier Orlandus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Francisco Osmundo fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horcones's protests and gave Francisco Osmundo a yellow card for diving instead. Lisandro Berto scored 1-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baltasar Laurentzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Horcones getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ubaldo Sal hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Lisandro Berto managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C.XENEIXE's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Berto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltasar Laurentzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denny Lightfoot during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Denny Lightfoot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Dubardo was the one to do the kick off. F.C.XENEIXE's Lisandro Berto got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Dubardo's late challenge caught a F.C.XENEIXE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Dubardo helped the player get up and apologised. David Dubardo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. David Dubardo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If Lisandro Berto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anier Orlandus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Baltasar Laurentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute F.C.XENEIXE were awarded a corner. Anier Orlandus went to the cornerflag to take it. After 86 played minutes Horcones got a freekick which was hit by Albino Etxatxu. The supporters of Horcones booed when F.C.XENEIXE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Abajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Orlandus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baltasar Laurentzi having to make a save. Lisandro Berto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Laurentzi having to interfere. F.C.XENEIXE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
