Jeremias Joseph blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Mero having to make a save. 24 minutes into the game, Lisandro Quiroga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Caseros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. Aldosivi the free kick. A collision led to Deportivo Caseros getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Lisandro Quiroga hit a great ball. Jeremias Joseph could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Apolo Mero made a huge save. When Fermin Mazuste came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the C.A. Aldosivi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Mazuste couldn't finish the play. Felipe Fresco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Mero having to interfere. Jeremias Joseph might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apolo Mero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeremias Joseph ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Deportivo Caseros booed when C.A. Aldosivi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Iigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Mero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geronimo Kelemen went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Felipe Fresco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Apolo Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46th play minutes Jeremias Joseph shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Apolo Mero and just under the crossbar into goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Douglas Botelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute, Lisandro Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Jeremias Joseph notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Deportivo Caseros's Apolo Mero. Apolo Mero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Fermin Mazuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Mero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Joseph's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Apolo Mero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Aldosivi's corner Fermin Mazuste fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Apolo Mero quite easily take care of the ball. 94 minutes into the game, C.A. Aldosivi's Jeremias Joseph nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apolo Mero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Geronimo Kelemen struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Apolo Mero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Aldosivi. C.A. Aldosivi's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
