The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Villarreal Futbol Club booed when Deportivo Caseros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Valiente didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Martín Villarreal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villarreal Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Martín Villarreal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Apolo Mero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Deportivo Caseros's Apolo Mero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ankaios Kalakos in the 33rd minute of play. When Ignacio Frye came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Villarreal Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Frye couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Deportivo Caseros booed when Villarreal Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín Villarreal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ankaios Kalakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Villarreal Futbol Club's Ignacio Frye dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ankaios Kalakos to strike the kick off in the second half. Apolo Mero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martín Villarreal went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Ankaios Kalakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Apolo Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Epifanio Caitano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Caseros and the Villarreal Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Caseros! The referee gave Villarreal Futbol Club a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ankaios Kalakos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Deportivo Caseros's Apolo Mero. 4-0. Ankaios Kalakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Deportivo Caseros getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Feliciano Valiente hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Deportivo Caseros's goal looked a bit too open when Ankaios Kalakos came free, but Apolo Mero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Caseros's Apolo Mero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ankaios Kalakos in the 81st minute of play. Apolo Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Villarreal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apolo Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ankaios Kalakos in the 90th minute of play. Carlos Aznar charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Aznar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Aznar hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Ignacio Frye's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Apolo Mero on his right side and into the goal. 93 minutes into the game it was 5-0. Ankaios Kalakos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Mero having to make a save. If Ignacio Frye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villarreal Futbol Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
