The referee ignored Matadores del 98's protests and gave Dabi Pareja a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Dabi Pareja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Ponciano struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Carmelo Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matadores del 98. The supporters of Matadores del 98 booed when Pampayasta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Ler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Tancredo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Tobias Arnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Roberto Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Matadores del 98's goal looked a bit too open when Hector George came free, but Martin Vignolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 played minutes Matadores del 98 got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Tancredo. 33 minutes into the match, Pampayasta AFC's Albano Jordy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Isaac Ler kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Ponciano in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carmelo Neto saved Pampayasta AFC from getting behind. Francisco Lando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Neto having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Ponciano in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carmelo Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Erasmo Bladi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carmelo Neto. Erasmo Bladi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Matadores del 98's Roberto Ponciano got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tobias Arnas kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Francisco Lando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carmelo Neto. Pampayasta AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dabi Pareja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Neto having to interfere. Efrain Tancredo's shot from long distance in the 63rd minute was not bad at all, but Pampayasta AFC's Carmelo Neto knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 66th minute, Erasmo Bladi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albano Jordy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Vignolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector George, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Roberto Ponciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matadores del 98's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Ponciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Pampayasta AFC's Tobias Arnas got a free kick in the 76th minute. Carmelo Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Ponciano in the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Matadores del 98's goal looked a bit too open when Hector George came free, but Martin Vignolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matadores del 98's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
