Reynaldo Aureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korneliusz Piekarczyk in the 13th minute of play. Reynaldo Aureo came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milán's Godfredo Arias. But to his dismay, Godfredo Arias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Hernando in the 20th minute of play forced Phenix's goalkeeper Reynaldo Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Phenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pancho Maciel to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Arsenio Hernando made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Aureo. Phenix's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When Fermin Pere fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milán's protests and gave Fermin Pere a yellow card for diving instead. Felipe Bizen kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 34 minutes of play, AC Milán's Arsenio Hernando made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Aureo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reynaldo Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korneliusz Piekarczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Reynaldo Aureo came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milán's Korneliusz Piekarczyk. But to his dismay, Korneliusz Piekarczyk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Godfredo Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Aureo having to interfere. Reynaldo Aureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Hernando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everardo Ixidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damaso Erruki hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Maksim Kúrchev's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reynaldo Aureo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arsenio Hernando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Aureo made a huge save. After having played for 88 minutes, Ramiro Savier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Savier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filiberto Gauargi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Bizen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Bizen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiberto Gauargi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. The Phenix fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AC Milán were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
