Almafuerte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. River Plate the free kick. After 72 played minutes Almafuerte got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Miro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Veronica in the 73rd minute of play forced Almafuerte's goalkeeper Siro Aztore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siro Aztore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Israel Ramone's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Almafuerte's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 94 minutes, Alonzo Ieltxu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. River Plate and the Almafuerte players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alonzo Ieltxu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Cristobal Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the C. A. River Plate players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
