LAZIO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Ikatz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Anchorena's Justino Tabb got a free kick in the 18th minute. Melquiades Xabat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Elpidio Herauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Anchorena got a freekick which was hit by Justino Tabb. In the 26th minute, Anchorena's Hector Aimar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hector Aimar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Anchorena protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hector Aimar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Joel Lope walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melquiades Xabat during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Justino Tabb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adrian Bartuelo's late challenge caught a Anchorena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Bartuelo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to LAZIO FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Adrian Bartuelo hit a great ball. Justino Tabb kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Anchorena's Elpidio Herauso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Anchorena from getting a goal against them. Elpidio Herauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Rodriguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Tabb's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Hustaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Anchorena's goalkeeper Elpidio Herauso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melquiades Xabat. Elpidio Herauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Rodriguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Pelagius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, LAZIO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Segundo Pelagius came free, but Aldo Hustaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Justino Tabb made a precise shot to the right of Aldo Hustaz. LAZIO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Elpidio Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Rodriguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Sergio Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Marquez in the 93rd minute of play forced Anchorena's goalkeeper Elpidio Herauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Anchorena players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented LAZIO FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
