But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo de Witte couldn't finish the play. Gerardo Tomi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Osvaldo Nuxila made a huge save. Osvaldo Nuxila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Tomi in the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Tomi got free with Osvaldo Nuxila in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Tomi in the 53rd minute of play forced Deportivo Draì's goalkeeper Osvaldo Nuxila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Villa La Perla's goalkeeper Rogelio Walme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theo de Witte. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Draì's Damian Chico got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Rogelio Walme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Draì. In the 80th minute, Abel Adrio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Nuxila was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Rene Su took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogelio Walme. Rogelio Walme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 92 minutes into the match, Rene Su had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogelio Walme. Villa La Perla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rene Su was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The Deportivo Draì players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Villa La Perla from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
