In the 24th minute Guillermo Pabla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Guillermo Pabla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Luke was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Buena Vista Social Club's Jesus Luke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Pabla in the 31st minute of play. With his leg Maximiliano Roderigo managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Buena Vista Social Club's Marcelino Bartuelo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. F. C. Berazategui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buena Vista Social Club the free kick. After 55 played minutes F. C. Maximiliano Roderigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Bartuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the match was over F. C. Berazategui could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Buena Vista Social Club throughout the match.
