In the 55th minute, Gimnasia y tiro's Cirilo Gabrio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cirilo Gabrio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gimnasia y tiro protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cirilo Gabrio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Cirilo Gabrio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Gimnasia y tiro's Hector Mannuel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guido Dalmau. Guido Dalmau yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 63rd minute, Aquiles Ikatz made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Eguzki. Gimnasia y tiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Benedicto Hegoi kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gimnasia y tiro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
