After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Roque Remigio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Roque Remigio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Tristan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Independiente's Remigio Bemabe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Godoy in the 23rd minute of play. Aurelio Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Bemabe having to interfere. Roque Remigio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hector Tristan having to make a save. Remigio Bemabe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Independiente's Remigio Bemabe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. Remigio Bemabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Txanton in the 35th minute of the match. Ernesto Pozs short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Remigio Bemabe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelio Godoy to make the kick off. Aurelio Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Bemabe having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Leon Adrio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Melquiades Txanton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pelo encarnado's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Txanton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Bemabe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Aurelio Godoy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelio Godoy struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Remigio Bemabe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelo encarnado. Aurelio Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remigio Bemabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Txanton in the 62nd minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Aurelio Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelo encarnado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Godoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After recieving a nice pass, Pelo encarnado's Bartolo Martxelin tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Roque Remigio made a precise shot to the right of Hector Tristan. Pelo encarnado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Aurelio Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Remigio Bemabe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remigio Bemabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Godoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Bemabe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Honorato Enetz charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorato Enetz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Enetz. In the 89th minute, Ernesto Poz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Bemabe was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pelo encarnado fully deserved thier win.
