Justino Perpinyas short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Evaristo Lalla to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 27 minutes into the game, Candido Matteo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Cipolletti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newell´s Old Boys the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Club Atletico Cipolletti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Matteo to maneuver through the defense. Justino Perpinya scored 4-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evaristo Lalla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Newell´s Old Boys's Victorio Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Monte in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Club Atletico Cipolletti's Evaristo Lalla got control of the ball when Justino Perpinya tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evaristo Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Nisio in the 44th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliciano Nisio made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cecilio James during the 51st minute.
