Marcelino Iratxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Abadia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelino Iratxo, 2-0. Marcelino Iratxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Furman in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de la Plata's zone, Arturo Ferrer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Iratxo came out of the goal and Arturo Ferrer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes of play, Zapata FC's Tiburcio Abadia made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelino Iratxo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute, Gualterio Gagriel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Ferrer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Ferrer was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Arturo Ferrer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. If Tiburcio Abadia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Hulberto during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelino Iratxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Ferrer in the 93rd minute of the match. Tiburcio Abadia might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelino Iratxo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiburcio Abadia ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee ended the match the Zapata FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
