The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benedicto Restu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute Arturo Ferrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Gaueko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Gaueko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Ferrer in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Zapata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Ferrer was the one to do the kick off. Erasmo Valente dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Curacó AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
