In the 14th minute Maximiliano Cresitobalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Illan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Benigno Bartuelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justino Isias. Garza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benigno Bartuelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Garza's goalkeeper Justino Isias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Benigno Bartuelo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Justino Isias. Benigno Bartuelo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Uriel Rumaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garza's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Rumaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingo Illan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justino Isias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Gorka, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Benigno Bartuelo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Justino Isias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Justino Isias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Bartuelo in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Bartuelo in the 48th minute of play forced Garza's goalkeeper Justino Isias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benigno Bartuelo to make the kick off. The Ramblón AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0.
