Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Sarmiento's Marciano Laurin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Bernardino Cordarius fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento's protests and gave Bernardino Cordarius a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sarmiento getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Bernardino Cordarius hit a great ball. If Leo Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Terciero might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godfredo Cordarell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ignacio Terciero ran back to his position shaking his head. If Melchor Eguen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 14 played minutes Sarmiento got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Cordarius. The supporters of Recreo booed when Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Olando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melchor Eguen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godfredo Cordarell having to make a save. Leo Pepillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento's zone, Leo Pepillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Cordarell came out of the goal and Leo Pepillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leo Pepillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Cordarell having to interfere. Melchor Eguen struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Godfredo Cordarell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recreo. When Lisandro Cordero came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Recreo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Cordero couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Lisandro Cordero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godfredo Cordarell. Sarmiento's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lisandro Cordero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 37th minute, Lisandro Cordero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Recreo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 40 minutes into the match, Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Eguen came free, but Godfredo Cordarell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Pepillo scored 0-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godfredo Cordarell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

In the 52nd match minute, Sarmiento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Heriberto to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Leo Pepillo took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Godfredo Cordarell to make any attempt to save it. In the 57th minute, Gervasio Fidensio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Eguen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Godfredo Cordarell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play, Recreo's Lisandro Cordero made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godfredo Cordarell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Godfredo Cordarell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victoriano Jakes in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Recreo's Melchor Eguen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfredo Cordarell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Recreo booed when Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Heriberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lisandro Cordero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melchor Eguen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ignacio Terciero struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Godfredo Cordarell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recreo. If Leo Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gervasio Fidensio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded Recreo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sarmiento.
