In the 7th minute, C.A.Buenos Aires's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paolo Lucian fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eloy Elixio was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Pablo Transito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pablo Transito really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. C.A.Buenos Aires's Rodolfo Orkatz got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 12 played minutes C.A.Buenos Aires got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Maidana. In the 15th minute, Paolo Lucian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercado Paulista F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Filiberto Clis charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filiberto Clis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Filiberto Clis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasco Lisboa's late challenge caught a C.A.Buenos Aires's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasco Lisboa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Vasco Lisboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paolo Lucian in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eloy Elixio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eloy Elixio was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Pablo Transito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pablo Transito really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. 36 minutes into the match, C.A.Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Transito came free, but Eloy Elixio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Transito in the 38th minute of play forced C.A.Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Eloy Elixio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C.'s Paolo Lucian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eloy Elixio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlos Marcones was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, one of C.A.Buenos Aires:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.A.Buenos Aires. The referee gave Mercado Paulista F.C. a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filiberto Clis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of C.A.Buenos Aires's Eloy Elixio. 5-0. Eloy Elixio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Transito in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Transito to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, C.A.Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Constancio to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute Paolo Lucian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Elixio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Transito in the 55th minute of play forced C.A.Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Eloy Elixio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57th play minutes Paolo Lucian shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Eloy Elixio and just under the crossbar into goal. 60 minutes into the game, Mercado Paulista F.C.'s Pablo Transito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eloy Elixio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After having played for 68 minutes, Pablo Transito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercado Paulista F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Transito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mercado Paulista F.C.'s Timur Lisitsky was substituted for Teodoro Nataniel. Filiberto Clis scored 8-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eloy Elixio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filiberto Clis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filiberto Clis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Elixio having to interfere. Paolo Lucian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Rodolfo Orkatz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Filiberto Clis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercado Paulista F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Filiberto Clis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiberto Clis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pablo Transito struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Eloy Elixio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercado Paulista F.C.. Eloy Elixio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Clis in the 92nd minute of play. When Paolo Lucian came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Mercado Paulista F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Lucian couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Buenos Aires's zone, Filiberto Clis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Elixio came out of the goal and Filiberto Clis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Filiberto Clis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mercado Paulista F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
