Spectators: 6686 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1636, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nicanor Hanot started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Jonathan Presebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Nicanor Hanot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Atauri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Hanot took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Atauri. Serafino Atauri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Hanot in the 15th minute of play forced Vargas AFC's goalkeeper Serafino Atauri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Clodoveo Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Terciero, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes of play, BANFIELD F.C's Aquiles Urbasa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafino Atauri was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Constantino Bilintx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafino Atauri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Hanot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 34 minutes on the clock, German Urtzi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 33 minutes into the game, one of Vargas AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave BANFIELD F.C a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Evaristo Santio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vargas AFC's Serafino Atauri. 0-3. In the 39th minute, Nicanor Hanot made a precise shot to the right of Serafino Atauri. Vargas AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Constantino Bilintx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafino Atauri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Hanot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Constantino Bilintx came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Vargas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Bilintx couldn't finish the play. After the first half BANFIELD F.C were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantino Bilintx was the one to do the kick off. Aquiles Urbasa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serafino Atauri came out and tried to block the shot, but Aquiles Urbasa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 52nd minute. Nicanor Hanot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Serafino Atauri made a huge save. After 58 minutes, Clodoveo Shepherd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vargas AFC and the BANFIELD F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Vargas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Shepherd to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 62 in the game by Nicanor Hanot from a close distance when the talented Serafino Atauri managed to make a qualified save. Vargas AFC's players were relieved. 65 minutes into the game, Narciso Galeno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Serafino Atauri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th minute, Gustavo Sedeni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70thth minute of the game Aquiles Urbasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vargas AFC's Serafino Atauri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Vargas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Terciero to maneuver through the defense. Nicanor Hanot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Atauri having to interfere. Aquiles Urbasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquiles Urbasa in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafino Atauri saved Vargas AFC from getting behind. In the 86th minute of the match Jacinto Lixandro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serafino Atauri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Nicanor Hanot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
