Dario Demario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Mauricio Tebaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, 邵挺宁 managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Potrero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but 邵挺宁 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Tebaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Carasucias getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Francisco Etxeberri hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the game, Gustavo Hernandez threw the ball into play from the sideline. El Potrero FC's Alberto Salomone quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Fidel Txomin fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carasucias's protests and gave Fidel Txomin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of El Potrero FC booed when Carasucias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Txomin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carasucias's goalkeeper Mauricio Tebaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Francisco Etxeberri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Dario Demario cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mauricio Tebaldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute Kjartan Odland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Tebaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Francisco Etxeberri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Abeijon kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute 邵挺宁 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Tebaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, El Potrero FC's Dario Demario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Tebaldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Demario to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Claudio Eskuin sped through El Potrero FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Maia. The audience was convinced that Claudio Eskuin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Maia was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, Anselmo Erruki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dario Demario came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the El Potrero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Demario couldn't finish the play. If Kjartan Odland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Potrero FC's Celedonio Luken was substituted for Kjartan Odland. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Eskuin in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd match minute, El Potrero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Boni to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Dario Demario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dario Demario in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mauricio Tebaldo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Celedonio Luken hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th match minute, Carasucias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Eskuin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Etxeberri in the 82nd minute of play forced El Potrero FC's goalkeeper João Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of El Potrero FC booed when Carasucias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Erruki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Lordi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, 邵挺宁 took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Mauricio Tebaldo to make any attempt to save it. Francisco Etxeberri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. El Potrero FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
