Spectators: 7098 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Freddy Vedillo kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Freddy Vedillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Carlos Faro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Argentinos juniors's Carlos Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Rey in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Freddy Vedillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anguil's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Vedillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Faro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 17 minutes, Freddy Vedillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anguil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Vedillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 18 played minutes Anguil got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Serafo. With his leg Pablo Kismi managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Argentinos juniors's Feliciano Servando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Steven Peters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Pablo Kismi made a huge save. The supporters of Argentinos juniors booed when Anguil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Urdaspal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliciano Servando had several of the Anguil's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Pablo Kismi as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ulises Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Faro having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliciano Servando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Anguil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Rey to maneuver through the defense. When Feliciano Servando came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Argentinos juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Servando couldn't finish the play. Carlos Faro made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Ulises Loren sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Vedillo in the 65th minute of the match. When Argentinos juniors's Feliciano Servando in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anguil's goalie prevented a goal. In the 68th minute, Salvador Tono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Servando in the 72nd minute of play forced Anguil's goalkeeper Pablo Kismi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Vedillo didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-2 via right post in the game's 73rd minute. Anguil's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After a defensive mix-up in Argentinos juniors's zone, Freddy Vedillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Faro came out of the goal and Freddy Vedillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Faro made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ulises Loren sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute of the match, Teodoro Rey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlos Faro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Carlos Faro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddy Vedillo's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Freddy Vedillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
