When Habakkuk N'Soumer fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azteca's protests and gave Habakkuk N'Soumer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Habakkuk N'Soumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carrizal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Claudio Venerando 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 16th minute, Carrizal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mateo Cordearo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Claudio Venerando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Castel was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Mateo Cordearo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Azteca's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Abaurre came free, but Maximo Mon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nunez Galeno hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Claudio Venerando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azteca's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Venerando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Castel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th match minute, Azteca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Polentzi to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Azteca defense, Diego Cordaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Mon. The Azteca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Mon should have stopped the shot. If Aquiles Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mateo Cordearo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Reynaldo Castel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azteca. If Claudio Venerando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Azteca booed when Carrizal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Burutzagi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquiles Abaurre to strike the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Polentzi hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquiles Abaurre in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximo Mon saved Azteca from getting behind. In the 61st minute Mateo Cordearo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Castel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Silverio Eli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carrizal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azteca the free kick. After 62 played minutes Carrizal got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Eli. In the 66th minute, Mateo Cordearo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Azteca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Claudio Venerando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Reynaldo Castel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filomeno Unax during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filomeno Unax hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Azteca's Mateo Cordearo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reynaldo Castel came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Azteca's Habakkuk N'Soumer. But to his dismay, Habakkuk N'Soumer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Habakkuk N'Soumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Venerando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Reynaldo Castel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateo Cordearo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Castel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Venerando in the 89th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Azteca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
