With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgardo Lauro in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Telmo saved Rustico FC from getting behind. In the 35th minute Hernan Rito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Antonio Ishmael came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Rustico FC fans jumped to their feet. After having played for 45 minutes, Hernan Rito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rustico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Rito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Antonio Ishmael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Rustico FC's Hernan Rito got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernan Rito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Adolfo Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melchor Mincho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Telmo having to interfere. Edgardo Lauro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Telmo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Hernan Rito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Rustico FC booed when QuilmesFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Sedeni didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Marciano Ilixo from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Adolfo Ayala's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Rustico FC booed when QuilmesFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Flor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Hernan Rito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rustico FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Rito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Ayala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
