In the 7th minute, Jacobo Udalaitz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fausto Farias, passed just outside the right post. 11 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Bernad dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fausto Farias, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Lopez in the 15th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Eloy Silbestre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Independiente defense, Enzo Locaio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Silbestre. The Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Silbestre should have stopped the shot. In the 19th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Gelmiro to maneuver through the defense. Izydor Tworek, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 21st match minute, LAGUNA S.D was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Locaio to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, LAGUNA S.D's goalkeeper Fausto Farias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardino Lastur. In the 23rd minute of the match, Jonas Dei got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fausto Farias was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Bernad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Farias. LAGUNA S.D's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciriaco Bernad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Gelmiro during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Alvaro Gelmiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Independiente's Eloy Silbestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Lopez in the 36th minute of play. Enzo Locaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Eloy Silbestre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciriaco Bernad to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Berart during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. LAGUNA S.D's Fausto Farias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Dei in the 67th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jimeno Bikendi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eloy Silbestre. That made the score 2-4 in the 68 minute of play. Eloy Silbestre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jimeno Bikendi in the 72nd minute. Eloy Silbestre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Lopez in the 80th minute of the match. Esteban Cordarryl hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match.
