The referee ignored Coll's protests and gave Genaro Ibar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Coll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Ibar to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Quintyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Theobald. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Quintyn ran back to his position shaking his head. When Erubiel Thomas came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Colón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Thomas couldn't finish the play. In the 13th match minute, Coll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Ibar to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Quintyn in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anselmo Theobald, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Colón fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Colón's Cirilo Quintyn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Quintyn in the 37th minute of play forced Coll's goalkeeper Anselmo Theobald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. From close distance Cirilo Quintyn pressed in the 4-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 39 minutes into the game. 46 minutes into the match, Colón's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Pirro came free, but Camilo Garikoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cirilo Quintyn made a kick off. After 55 played minutes, Colón's Joaquin Ixaka shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anselmo Theobald came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Colón reached it. Cirilo Quintyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Theobald having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Erubiel Thomas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cirilo Quintyn in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Theobald saved Coll from getting behind. Erubiel Thomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Theobald having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cirilo Quintyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Theobald was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Anselmo Theobald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Quintyn in the 86th minute of play. Cirilo Quintyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cirilo Quintyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Anselmo Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Cirilo Quintyn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anselmo Theobald. Coll's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cirilo Quintyn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. There was no doubt that Colón were the better team. Colón's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
