Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Arnulfo Egoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Quintyn in the 5th minute of play. Camilo Garikoitz came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by RODRIGO PALACIO's Angel Gilesindo. But to his dismay, Angel Gilesindo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Aquilino Videl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RODRIGO PALACIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colón the free kick. When Elpidio Salomone fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colón's protests and gave Elpidio Salomone a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Colón got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Salomone. Cirilo Quintyn scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulfo Egoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Cirilo Quintyn came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Colón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cirilo Quintyn couldn't finish the play. If Cirilo Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cirilo Quintyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erubiel Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st match minute, Colón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Thomas to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cirilo Quintyn was the one to do the kick off. Delmiro Llorienzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Camilo Garikoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Harkaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Joachim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Camilo Garikoitz, 1-2. Erubiel Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Garikoitz made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Ubaldo Joachim sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Quintyn in the 68th minute of play forced RODRIGO PALACIO's goalkeeper Arnulfo Egoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Thomas hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Cirilo Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Egoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Thomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cirilo Quintyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Erubiel Thomas came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Colón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Thomas couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Ubaldo Joachim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Camilo Garikoitz. The goal made the score 1-3. 86 minutes into the match, Colón's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Joachim came free, but Camilo Garikoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Colón got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Thomas. After 90 minutes, Angel Gilesindo made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Colón's Camilo Garikoitz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Marcelo Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. RODRIGO PALACIO's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Garikoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded RODRIGO PALACIO left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Colón.
