The Pilciao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Everardo Quin came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Cebollitas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Quin couldn't finish the play. Astor Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Edorta, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Amado Guib recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Pilciao defense, Amado Guib kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Juvenal. The Pilciao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Juvenal should have stopped the shot. Nereo Erroman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, Pilciao's German Ihazintu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Bernaldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Lino Juvenal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amado Guib in the 46th minute. If Amado Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Pilciao were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nereo Erroman to make the kick off. If Nereo Erroman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Vincent's late challenge caught a Pilciao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Astor Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Erroman in the 54th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Remigio Ur recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Astor Bernaldo. Remigio Ur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Astor Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Erroman in the 63rd minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Angel Primo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cebollitas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Primo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amado Guib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lino Juvenal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Cebollitas FC's much stronger midfield.
