Rodrigo Almeida in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guido Ibon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rodrigo Almeida who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Guido Ibon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Guido Ibon was a little too slow when Rodrigo Almeida got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. After having played for 19 minutes, Rodrigo Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LUGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Almeida did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Guido Ibon 20 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Rodrigo Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rodrigo Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Ibon having to interfere. Rodrigo Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guido Ibon having to make a save. HAMBURGO's Guido Ibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Almeida in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Guido Ibon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guido Ibon was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Rodrigo Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Guido Ibon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in HAMBURGO's zone, Raúl Infante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guido Ibon came out of the goal and Raúl Infante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guido Ibon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Almeida's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Cordearo to make the kick off. Rodrigo Almeida struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Guido Ibon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LUGO. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Almeida in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guido Ibon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Rodrigo Almeida sped through HAMBURGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guido Ibon. 69 minutes into the game, Tadeo Cordearo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HAMBURGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LUGO the free kick. After 70 played minutes HAMBURGO got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Cordearo. After a rather tough play, HAMBURGO's Sergio Enaut got a free kick in the 71st minute. Rodrigo Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Guido Ibon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Walery Purzycki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LUGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walery Purzycki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Rodrigo Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Guido Ibon. HAMBURGO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Walery Purzycki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Guido Ibon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guido Ibon. HAMBURGO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. The supporters of HAMBURGO booed when LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Naike didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geronimo Errolan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Candido Diegotxe. Rodrigo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guido Ibon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the LUGO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
