But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delmiro Bernat couldn't finish the play. If Moises Santxol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Moises Santxol took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Gartzi. Tomas Gartzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Moises Santxol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, C.A. Argentino Sur's Roman Iraunkor got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Miranda AFC's Ernesto Oier in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. Argentino Sur's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Miranda AFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Domingos Esquipula hit a great ball. Marcelo Jerold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Oier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A. Argentino Sur's Moises Santxol got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernesto Oier was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Oier got free with Marcelo Jerold in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Gustavo Quirze put in a rough tackle. Gaudencio Urtsua struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Marcelo Jerold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miranda AFC. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Argentino Sur's zone, Gaudencio Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Jerold came out of the goal and Gaudencio Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Miranda AFC's Gaudencio Urtsua slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Jerold. That made the score 2-1 after 69 minutes of play. Nicanor Artaldo's late challenge caught a Miranda AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Artaldo helped the player get up and apologised. When Ernesto Oier fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miranda AFC's protests and gave Ernesto Oier a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Miranda AFC's Ernesto Oier got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Moises Santxol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Gartzi. Miranda AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moises Santxol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Delmiro Bernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Gartzi having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moises Santxol in the 100th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Gartzi saved Miranda AFC from getting behind.
