Guido Macario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Froila having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Jimeno Geleberto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Apolo Tajo. Jimeno Geleberto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 18 minutes into the game, Cristian Lehior cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Justino Froila was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Cristian Lehior sped through Ibarlucea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Justino Froila. 32 minutes into the match, Ibarlucea's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Macario came free, but Justino Froila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Lehior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgilio Guillerme during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ibarlucea's Virgilio Guillerme got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Cristian Lehior got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justino Froila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Lehior's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Jimeno Geleberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Lehior blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justino Froila having to make a save. After having played for 47 minutes, Blas Urtun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Urtun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half River Plate AFC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some careless play in the River Plate AFC defense, Eliseo Rami kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apolo Tajo. The River Plate AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apolo Tajo should have stopped the shot. Jeronimo Mon kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Jose Panpili blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Tajo having to make a save. In the 59th minute, Cristian Lehior ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justino Froila was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Justino Froila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Cordairo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Cristian Lehior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guido Macario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Justino Froila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, River Plate AFC's Antonio Urdaspal got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd match minute, Ibarlucea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Oier to maneuver through the defense. Guido Macario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Guillerme in the 82nd minute of play forced River Plate AFC's goalkeeper Apolo Tajo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Urdaspal in the 83rd minute of play forced Ibarlucea's goalkeeper Justino Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Isidro Poncio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justino Froila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Lehior in the 94th minute. The Ibarlucea fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. River Plate AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
