Babbis Dimopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Christobal, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Higinio Christobal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Dimopoulos having to interfere. Teo Jenaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Melchor Bladi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 played minutes Río Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Contempomi. In the 22nd minute, Higinio Christobal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Joel Arias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erubiel Aurken. Río Cuarto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Arias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Río Cuarto's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Arias came free, but Erubiel Aurken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Río Cuarto's Higinio Christobal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Babbis Dimopoulos. Babbis Dimopoulos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Arias made a kick off. Higinio Christobal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Dimopoulos having to interfere. Joel Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Erubiel Aurken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ceferino Medina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erubiel Aurken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Contempomi in the 65th minute of play forced Wasapampa FC's goalkeeper Babbis Dimopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Aurken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erubiel Aurken didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ceferino Medina went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 84th play minute Ceferino Medina came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erubiel Aurken. 1-4. After 87 played minutes Wasapampa FC got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Birjaio. After having played for 88 minutes, Teo Jenaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Río Cuarto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teo Jenaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Babbis Dimopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Higinio Christobal's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Wasapampa FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
