An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Petri in the 26th minute of play forced Armstrong's goalkeeper Braulio Bakar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Armstrong fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Armstrong's Anier Goren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 33 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Armstrong's Anier Goren fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Hermengildo Petri hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Armstrong's Chicão Campidelis in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Candido Rocendo came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Armstrong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Candido Rocendo couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Petri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anier Goren might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeo Oton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anier Goren ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Chicão Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Armstrong's supporters rose to their feet, but Chicão Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Oton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Braulio Bakar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Petri in the 59th minute of play. Chicão Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Lázaro Corderun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anier Goren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeo Oton came out and tried to block the shot, but Anier Goren slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 64th minute. If Hermengildo Petri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chicão Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anier Goren scored 0-6 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeo Oton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 96 minutes, Chicão Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armstrong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armstrong played a much better game than LA 12 and deserved their victory. The LA 12 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
