Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eleuterio Isadore started the match with the kick off. Marcelino Seme kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Adrian Sindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Oalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Edwardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Eleuterio Isadore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciro Sarracino. Ruiz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eleuterio Isadore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Eleuterio Isadore sped through Ruiz FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ciro Sarracino. When Liberanza's Eleuterio Isadore in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ruiz FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute, Alejo Atauri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Suarez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victor Oalo. Hermengildo Suarez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Liberanza's Eleuterio Isadore got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eleuterio Isadore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Liberanza's Victor Oalo got control of the ball when Francisco Sayvion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Oalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Suarez in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Liberanza were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermengildo Suarez to strike the kick off in the second half. Liberanza's Eleuterio Isadore got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Oalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Buinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Marcelino Seme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelino Seme kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 64th minute Laureano Buinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Oalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Abechuco's late challenge caught a Ruiz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Abechuco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, Liberanza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. Eleuterio Isadore struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ciro Sarracino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liberanza. Alejo Atauri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ciro Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Axel Mellberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ciro Sarracino. Ruiz FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Eleuterio Isadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ruiz FC's Laureano Buinton got a free kick in the 87th minute. Francisco Sayvion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Oalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Austin in the 91st minute of the match. The Liberanza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liberanza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
