Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Irigoyen's Angelino Matro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Arnaldo Luken fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irigoyen's protests and gave Arnaldo Luken a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5thth minute of the game Gustavo Lapurdi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Irigoyen's Omar Sayvion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 7 played minutes Irigoyen got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Luken. Omar Sayvion acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Thorsten Durr. Irigoyen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Artemio Endura scored to the left of an out of position Omar Sayvion, making the score, 1-0. Omar Sayvion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Lapurdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Omar Sayvion successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 30 minutes, Gustavo Lapurdi made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Irigoyen's Omar Sayvion tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustavo Lapurdi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Omar Sayvion skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 39 minutes, Gustavo Lapurdi made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Irigoyen's Omar Sayvion tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Endura in the 45th minute of play forced Irigoyen's goalkeeper Omar Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Lapurdi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Irigoyen's Omar Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Endura in the 53rd minute of play. Omar Sayvion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Endura in the 55th minute of play. In the 60th minute Artemio Endura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Irigoyen's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Lapurdi came free, but Omar Sayvion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Gustavo Lapurdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Irigoyen defense, Artemio Endura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omar Sayvion. The Irigoyen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Omar Sayvion should have stopped the shot. Omar Sayvion came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Dr. Ernesto Guevara's Gustavo Lapurdi. But to his dismay, Gustavo Lapurdi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 75th minute, Artemio Endura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omar Sayvion was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 78th minute, Arnaldo Luken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Sayvion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Lapurdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute of the match Celestino Opilano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Sayvion skillfully saved the ball. Angelino Matro kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Dr. Ernesto Guevara's Gustavo Lapurdi in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Irigoyen's goalie prevented a goal. If Artemio Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gustavo Lapurdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
