If Artemio Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dr. Ernesto Guevara booed when Mouras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Delfino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Fernando Avellaneda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prospero Mosen. Mouras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Avellaneda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mouras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
