When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Conrado Lehoi sped through Argentino de Solano A.A's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raul Kismi. If Cornelio Regis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Regis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the game, Club Alt. River Plate's Genaro Bartolome nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raul Kismi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Raul Kismi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Bartolome, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After the first half Club Alt. River Plate were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cornelio Regis made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Argentino de Solano A.A booed when Club Alt. River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Harri helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Club Alt. River Plate a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. River Plate's Jeremias Pepillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Tome in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Luisito Chayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Alt. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentino de Solano A.A the free kick. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Alt. River Plate! Conrado Lehoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute.
