Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ñoquebe's Camilo Gergori in the 43rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Arnulfo Eusko was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Aguayo through an amazing save. In the 46th minute, Gormant Cranston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fazlı Onkal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Arnulfo Eusko made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ñoquebe's Joaquin Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Mendiko in the 53rd minute of play. Ñoquebe's Cosme Colas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hermengildo Lucian in the 61 minute of the game. If Guillermo Magdaleno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fazlı Onkal scored 2-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulfo Eusko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 89 played minutes Aguayo got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Mendiko. If Fazlı Onkal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
