Catarino Guarda scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patricio Umbruso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Edgard Xabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luciano Eguntsenti fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thiago FC's protests and gave Luciano Eguntsenti a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Thiago FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Luciano Eguntsenti hit a great ball. Mateo Diagur was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Luciano Eguntsenti was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 48 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Thiago FC's Luciano Eguntsenti got a free kick in the 48th minute. Piñero's Mateo Diagur couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 49th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Thiago FC. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Adriana Vedillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Botello's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Piñero's Eusebio Botello got a free kick in the 64th minute. Aurelio Heriberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thiago FC made a substitution. Tiburcio Louis replaced Catarino Guarda. 75 minutes into the game, Edgardo Garaile was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piñero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thiago FC the free kick. The supporters of Thiago FC booed when Piñero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Garaile didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Thiago FC's Aurelio Heriberto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patricio Umbruso. That made the score 0-2 after 77 minutes of play. After 81 minutes, Vicente Guilabertus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thiago FC and the Piñero players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Vicente Guilabertus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago FC's Conrado Isusko was substituted for Aurelio Heriberto. In the 88th minute Conrado Isusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Umbruso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Thiago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Makareus Adamidis to maneuver through the defense. Conrado Isusko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
