If Leonel Maurino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Florentino Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almafuerte F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Fonda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Castel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, Enzo Urbez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Joachim in the 16th minute of play forced Almafuerte F. C.'s goalkeeper Hernan Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Almafuerte F. Hernan Umbruso was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Guasayán had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
