Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Anacleto Eliu made the kick off which started today's match. David Cristofol made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Arturo Reyes sent off a good shot on target. David Cristofol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Reyes in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Brugo's Severiano Raitin got a free kick in the 12th minute. Severiano Raitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. David Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Delmar Bastia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. A collision led to Brugo getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Victorio Maldonado hit a great ball. Anacleto Eliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Bastia having to interfere. Delmar Bastia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Azevedo in the 23rd minute of play. Severiano Raitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. David Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, River Plate's David Cristofol got control of the ball when Arturo Reyes tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Anacleto Eliu hit a great ball. David Cristofol came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugo's Arturo Reyes. But to his dismay, Arturo Reyes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A hard shot 40 in the game by Arturo Reyes from a close distance when the talented David Cristofol managed to make a qualified save. River Plate's players were relieved. 43 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Raitin came free, but David Cristofol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Remigio Umbruso got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Arturo Reyes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The audience was convinced that Anacleto Eliu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmar Bastia was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Apolo Javiero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Delmar Bastia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Natalio Gelmiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brugo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Remigio Umbruso hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Remigio Umbruso got a free kick in the 69th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Anacleto Eliu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anacleto Eliu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorio Maldonado kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. David Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Anacleto Eliu might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmar Bastia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anacleto Eliu ran back to his position shaking his head. River Plate's David Cristofol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Reyes in the 85th minute of play. Carlos Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Anacleto Eliu took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Delmar Bastia to make any attempt to save it. After 95 minutes of play, River Plate's Carlos Azevedo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delmar Bastia was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the River Plate players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
