In the 35th minute, Paolo Goi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Durazno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Oxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Aron Trumm struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Teobaldo Roderigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Amador Hodei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Aron Trumm took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Teobaldo Roderigo to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Durazno booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Ur didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes Aron Trumm rounded Durazno's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. If Anastasio Banegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aron Trumm came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Trumm couldn't finish the play. Paolo Goi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Roderigo having to interfere. Teobaldo Roderigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Trumm in the 78th minute of play. Paolo Goi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Teobaldo Roderigo 79 minutes into the match. Aron Trumm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teobaldo Roderigo having to make a save.
