In the 30th minute, Raimundo Madaleno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Durazno defense, Cleto Nuno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teobaldo Roderigo. The Durazno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teobaldo Roderigo should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute of the match Benicio Estevez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teobaldo Roderigo skillfully saved the ball. Benicio Estevez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teobaldo Roderigo. Durazno's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Durazno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Seguinus to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Erasto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Roderigo having to interfere. When Segundo Oxel fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durazno's protests and gave Segundo Oxel a yellow card for diving instead.
