Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7thth minute of the game Ermegildo Urbez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tala's Cristian Firmin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Cucullú FC's Prudencio Jerrold got control of the ball when Angelino Florin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Prudencio Jerrold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelino Florin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Prudencio Jerrold made a huge save. Martin Ferman struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Prudencio Jerrold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tala. 40 minutes into the match, Tala's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Urbez came free, but Cristian Firmin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, one of Tala:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Cucullú FC a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Primitivo Gilen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tala's Cristian Firmin. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Marcelino Osoro made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Tala got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Lekubegi. Ermegildo Urbez struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Cristian Firmin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cucullú FC. Tala's Cristian Firmin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Tala from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Mon got free with Cristian Firmin in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Feliberto Gervaso kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Urbez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Firmin. Tala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ermegildo Urbez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 80th minute, Marcelino Osoro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Firmin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. If Angelino Florin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cucullú FC booed when Tala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Gervaso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marcelino Osoro came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Cucullú FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Osoro couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ermegildo Urbez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cucullú FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Urbez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Firmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the game, Erasmo Belo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cucullú FC the free kick. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tala! Cucullú FC played a much better game than Tala and deserved their victory. The Tala players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
