The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Freddy Donio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Marques was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Humberto Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Lizbeth, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Necochea F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Lizbeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Medanitos AFC's Humberto Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Donio in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Abelardo Peruxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Medanitos AFC's Humberto Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Donio in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddy Donio in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alejo Izel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eloy Pelayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aristides Patrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Medanitos AFC's Alejo Izel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Necochea F.C. Aristides Patrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eloy Pelayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Necochea F.C's Robustiano Urtzi got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

In the 51st minute Freddy Donio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Freddy Donio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Medanitos AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Freddy Donio scored to the left of an out of position Humberto Marques, making the score, 0-1. Freddy Donio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Marques having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Alejo Izel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Alejo Izel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medanitos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Izel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Medanitos AFC's zone, David Lizbeth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Marques came out of the goal and David Lizbeth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Donio in the 80th minute of play forced Medanitos AFC's goalkeeper Humberto Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Donio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Freddy Donio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Humberto Marques. The goal made the score 0-3. When Zacarias Marcones fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Necochea F.C's protests and gave Zacarias Marcones a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Necochea F.C getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Zacarias Marcones hit a great ball. Freddy Donio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Marques having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Necochea F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
