In the 13th minute, Efrain Opilano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nemesio Acevedo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Salagasta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Acevedo couldn't finish the play. Nemesio Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Xabat having to interfere. If Sergio Ekhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Ferreyra's goalkeeper Lino Xabat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nemesio Acevedo. Sergio Ekhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Acevedo got free with Lino Xabat in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 41 minutes, Nemesio Acevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salagasta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Acevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Ferreyra's Lino Xabat got control of the ball when Nemesio Acevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salagasta AFC's Sergio Ekhi got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

In the 52nd minute, Sergio Ekhi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nemesio Acevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferreyra's Lino Xabat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Ekhi in the 79th minute of play. Lino Xabat came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Salagasta AFC's Sergio Ekhi. But to his dismay, Sergio Ekhi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 89 minutes into the match, Salagasta AFC's Sergio Ekhi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Xabat narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
