Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5296, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonas Argenis started the match with the kick off. Fernan Espiridion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Fonda in the 3rd minute of play. Pablo Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Espiridion having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Fonda in the 10th minute of play forced Salinas AFC's goalkeeper Fernan Espiridion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes, Nereo Medina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salinas AFC and the Quilcó players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nereo Medina hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Victorino Fonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pablo Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Espiridion having to interfere. Fernan Espiridion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Giraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Fonda took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernan Espiridion. Fernan Espiridion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Salinas AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Melquiades Ponciano hit a great ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Victorino Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilcó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Fonda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorino Fonda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Espiridion having to interfere. Nereo Medina came free in the 36th minute and tried to tip the ball over Nestor Furtado, but to the joy of Quilcó's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Fernan Espiridion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Hunfredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Pablo Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Espiridion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victorino Fonda was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Victorino Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilcó's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Fonda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernan Espiridion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute, Pablo Giraldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ubaldo Florian came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Quilcó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Florian couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salinas AFC's goalkeeper Fernan Espiridion, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Pablo Giraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorino Fonda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victorino Fonda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Quilcó's German Rey got a free kick in the 71st minute. Quilcó's Nestor Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Argenis in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Salinas AFC's zone, Pablo Giraldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Espiridion came out of the goal and Pablo Giraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th match minute, Salinas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Ponciano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Rafael Iruinea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 90 minutes into the match, Pablo Giraldo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernan Espiridion, 0-2. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Pablo Giraldo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victorino Fonda in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernan Espiridion saved Salinas AFC from getting behind. In the 97th minute, Jonas Argenis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nestor Furtado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.
