In the 4th match minute, Jagüé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Locaio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Genaro Tomi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikingos's supporters rose to their feet, but Genaro Tomi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florentino Ponc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Nicasio Sotil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Jagüé booed when Vikingos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekber Eryaman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Matxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florentino Ponc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Sotil in the 23rd minute of play. Tanek Pieknik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Lizer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florentino Ponc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ekber Eryaman went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ramon Matxin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Florentino Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jagüé's Florentino Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Matxin in the 41st minute of play. After 44 played minutes Jagüé got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Chus. After the first half Vikingos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The tension between the Vikingos and the Jagüé players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Genaro Tomi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentino Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicasio Sotil in the 73rd minute of the match. Jagüé's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ekber Eryaman 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Camilo Montrel charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ramon Matxin ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nicasio Sotil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vikingos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
